Amy Young graduated from Teesside University in 2025 with a foundation degree in Integrative Counselling. Being a qualified Integrative Counsellor means that Amy is trained in, and can employ multiple different therapies and techniques to suit your individual needs.

Amy is a member of the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to their ethical framework & quality practice guidelines.

Amy is extremely passionate about providing support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties and has worked as a counsellor in the voluntary sector for the last year. Amy currently works with a private therapy service, providing counselling to both adults and children, and often within a local secondary school. Amy has also worked at a local hospice, dealing with grief, loss and bereavement, as well as providing counselling for a carers charity within the County Durham area. In addition to counselling, Amy also provides HR and wellbeing support to a corporate company where she has worked since 2018.

Amy is a warm, empathetic therapist offering a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space for you to feel heard. Amy brings a wealth of ability and compassion to her practice, empowering you to explore your inner thoughts, overcome challenges, and gain an understanding of any issues affecting your well-being.

Amy currently has space for new clients from 1st July and is offering an introductory offer session rate, as well as a free 20-minute telephone consultation.

  • Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Certificate.
  • Safeguarding Level 3 Certificate.
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
