Zivile has practiced as a physiotherapist and specialist massage therapist for over 11 years, 8 years of which have been while in the U.K. Zivile specialises in remedial, sports and deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage and rehabilitation which include prescribing bespoke stretching and or strengthening exercises as per patient needs. Because of Zivile’s background in physiotherapy, she is able to provide specialised care and is able to work with patients who present with more complicated problems. Zivile uses various manual techniques which include deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and transverse soft tissue release.

Zivile also has a particular interest in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and the treatment of lymphedema and is qualified to level 3 by the Vodder School International. Zivile has experience working with patients who suffer from both lymphedema and cancer. MLD assists lymph flow and aids in the drainage of tissues. MLD is a gentle, non-invasive manual technique that has a powerful effect on the body. Research has shown that MLD is effective as either a stand-alone treatment or when used in combination with other therapies. During MLD the skin is stretched and torqued in a specific manner to encourage lymph flow. When performed correctly, with the correct pressure, direction and speed, this can greatly enhance the recovery of tissues and facilitate drainage.
