Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles for pain therapy. It acts mainly by stimulating the nervous system to release chemicals that help reduce pain and inflammation and influence mood. Acupuncture helps to balance the body’s internal environment and this increases the body’s healing potential.
Some of our practitioners offer Dry Needling and Western Medical Acupuncture, as part of their wider treatment approach.
We are also able to offer a technique, called Battlefield Acupuncture, which uses specific points in the ear to quickly reduce chronic pain, because there are many chronic debilitating conditions that may not be suited to nor respond well to chiropractic or other manual therapy treatment.
